My designs are about pushing the boundaries of craftsmanship ideals and that of the computer environment. I use the computer environment to visualise and develop forms three dimensionally in virtual space using it as a tool in the same way I would use a hammer. Combining the language of traditional metalwork with modern techniques, drives me towards new forms of making. I make functional silverware leaving evidence of the making process within the pieces, through doing this I give the user honesty and a greater understanding of the object.
