Kaori Tatebayashi
I have been working with clay for more than 20 years. I am always fascinated by the unique nature of ceramic, its paradox of fragility and permanence.
I see it in the way it has the ability of capturing time. When clay is fired, time is trapped within the material. In my work I try to preserve the personal and transient recollections of our lives. I seal them within the clay.
The object would talk to you quietly but intimately.
